Janie’s Farm with Marbleseed, the Artisan Grain Collaborative, OGRAIN, and U of I Extension
For this field day we will head to Janie’s Farm to learn about their organic food-grade grains operation.

Equipment Showcase
The first field day of the season will be focused on cultivation equipment for organic grain production.
We will rotate though stations to showcase and discuss equipment including an inter-row mower, roller-crimping demonstration and additional secondary tillage tools.
This event will be hosted by researchers at the UW-Madison Arlington Agricultural Research Station along with visiting scholars and industry experts.

Keith Speltz Farm with Albert Lea Seed
Stay tuned for more information about a field day full of discussion of incorporating cover crops in an organic grain rotation including seed mixes, interseeding, summer seeding methods, and equipment – what’s working and what’s not.
This event is co-hosted by Albert Lea Seed whose experts will also share their insights on these topics.
