Artisan Grain Collaborative launches their first-ever video series – Grain Chain Connections
The first-ever video series from the Artisan Grain Collaborative (AGC), Grain Chain Connections, is designed to highlight some of the many collaborations among AGC members across grain chain roles, from farmer to processor to end user. AGC is a member-led network that thrives and relies on these connections for the numerous ways they support each other in working together towards an ever-stronger regional grainshed. This video series includes four stories of collaboration, captured and edited by Boxing Worm Creative Company, and funded in part by the Food and Farm Communications Fund. Find the film series and more on their website.
Part 1: The Farmer, the Miller, and the Baker
How three Minnesota AGC members—a farmer, a miller, and a baker—are working together to strengthen the grain chain: Beth McConnon and Mark Askegaard of Askegaard Organic Farm, Patrick Wylie of Baker’s Field Flour And Bread, and Tiffany Singh and Christopher MacLeod of Laune Bread reflect on how they came to work together, what they find meaningful about their partnerships, and how their work is fostering development of the regional grainshed.
